Tremor Gram – December 2021

Thank You for Making a Difference

Year End Banner 2021 TG

As the year comes to a close, the board and staff at the International Essential Tremor Foundation are reflecting on 2021 with thanks and gratitude.

Our essential tremor (ET) community is strong because we are here for each other. We are joined in a shared mission to erase the stigma so often associated with ET and to expand awareness of this misunderstood condition.

We could not do this work without an invested community of supporters. Click here to listen to a personal note of thanks from our Board President Dr. Kelly Lyons.

We hope you’ll continue that spirit of support by making a year-end donation. We are so grateful to have you as a partner as we continue to work to make life better for people with ET. If you have already made a year-end donation, thank you!

We wish each of you a wonderful holiday season!

Learn About the Steadi-Two Hand Stabilizing Glove

Talking-Essential-Tremor-Podcast-Art-Square

It’s a smart glove developed to reduce hand tremors in people with essential tremor (ET) and Parkinson’s disease. And it’s the topic of our latest Talking Essential Tremor podcast.

Tune into, “Talking About the Steadi-Two Hand Stabilizing Glove” online through our website (or through Amazon Music/Audible, iHeartRadio, Spotify or RadioPublic).

Developed by Steadiwear, Steadi-Two is the second version of this hand-stabilizing glove. In the podcast, CEO Mark Elias discusses upgrades made to the original device and how it works, plus feedback the company has received from the ET community.

Steadi-Two is available for pre-orders. Learn more on the Steadiwear website.

  1. I always use Amazon Smile IETF. It’s so easy to earn $ for such a wonderful organization that way! Also when it’s your birthday if you’re on FB, you can request $ to be donated to IETF in your honor.

  2. I always use Amazon Smile IETF. It’s so easy to earn $ for such a wonderful organization that way! Also when it’s your birthday if you’re on FB, you can request $ to be donated to IETF in your honor. Worth repeating!

  3. Hi, I live in Canada. amazon.com is for people from the USA, so I assume Amazon Smile is for people from the USA. Since this is an international organization, I would really appreciate it if you identify offers, research trials and other programs by the countries they are available in. The only time I have ever seen this is for the support groups and for scholarships. We WANT to participate in these other programs, but usually find that we are ineligible.
Thank you so much for the work you do, but please don’t forget about us, outside the boundaries of the USA.
    Regards, Laura Labonte-Smith
