The event is set for Saturday, Oct. 29. Exact times and registration information will be coming soon. Watch your email, our website and social media sites for announcements!

ET Research is the Topic of Our Latest Education Event

Learn what’s happening in essential tremor research by watching the IETF’s newest recorded Virtual Education Event, “Research in Essential Tremor.”

Dr. Holly Shill, director of the Lonnie and Muhammad Ali Movement Disorder Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, is the guest presenter. Shill also serves as chair of the IETF’s medical advisory board

In her presentation, she discusses what research has revealed about the cause of ET, the hereditary aspects of the condition and ET’s relationship to Parkinson’s disease. She also talks about new treatment studies under way as well as results of completed research in this area.

The IETF has a library of ET Virtual Education Events online. Topics include diagnosis and treatment options, pediatric onset and coping techniques, plus more.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic success, community service, leadership skills and an essay submission. Applications and more details are available on the IETF website.

If you are the parent or grandparent of a college student who may qualify, help spread the word!
