Dine with Dignity with Meal Lifter

Posted on April 26, 2022

IETF Executive Director Patrick McCartney visits with Meal Lifter co-founder Anne Royer. Meal Lifter was born out of the need to create a functional eating space for Ann’s mother-in-law who had tremors from Parkinson’s disease. It’s a sturdy platform that holds and elevates a 9-inch plate, decreasing the distance from the plate to the mouth when eating.

  1. This would be more valuable if it were a report that could be read. Itt’s a lovely thing to know about Ms. Royer’s mother, but most people don’t have time for all that and want to cut to the chase. Anyone with Parkinson’s or Essential Tremor would love to know where to purchase this item, if it isn’t too expensive. Just think of the thousands of people who are suffering. More people-more money with a reasonable charge. More people-less money with an unreasonable charge. That’s the way it works.

    1. You can learn more on their website. We included the information about Ms. Royer’s mother-in-law because it is the story of how the Meal Lifter came about. She had an interest in helping someone with tremors and we thought it added credibility and value to the story to mention it. Their website is: https://www.meallifter.com/
